Many German students find it easier to learn German with pictures. As a visual learner myself, I love associating words with pictures. Consequently, I have started several galleries of visual items that hopefully will help visual and non-visual learners alike to add to their German vocabulary or to better retain vocabulary or grammar. This is a work in progress that I will continue to update as I create new images. These pages contain a lot of visual content, so they may take a little while to load. Please be patient! These pages feature only original visuals I have created, but I will also continue to post similar visual items that I find on other websites on the deutschdrang.com facebook page.
Creating the materials on this website has taken hundreds of hours of unpaid work, and while deutschdrang.com is a labor of love, a small Paypal donation would be greatly appreciated if you have found the materials on this website to be of use to you.
German Vocabulary Expansion
Many words seem easy enough on the surface, but then once you try to use them, you discover that they are trickier than you thought. Some of them have different meanings that seem anything but logical. Others bring with them unusual companions, such as required dative objects, or very specific contexts. Some words are difficult to remember because they are very similar to other words, sometimes with only one letter difference. And sometimes, you simply get discouraged about the sheer number of German words that you don’t know yet. Never fear: our German vocabulary expansion images can help you with all of these problems. If you are one of those learners who remembers best from visual cues, our German Vocabulary Expansion gallery will improve your vocabulary and help any newly acquired words to stick better.
This German Vocabulary Expansion gallery is a work in progress, so check back often to see what new words/phrases have been added:
