Thematic vocab: foods, furniture, clothes, numbers etc. Huge number of vocab exercises specific to certain topics. (Caveat: some words may be presented with spelling common in Switzerland, such as "ss" instead of "ß",
but still a very useful site.)

Quizlet: Tons of German flashcard sets and user groups. Each flashcard set offers various ways to study, including randomly generated mini-tests.
